Pinky the Seahorse

Here it is, finally. My new Empire Longboard.
Slightly more rocker and a rounded squash tail make it perform
even better than my old board. The squash tail gives it
more drive and combined with the bit more rocker and
the thinned out rails I really found the optimum
combination for me. Thanks, Jason at OM for doing
such an amazing job with the resin tint!
This board flys like a rocket and
I'm looking forward to every session on it!

Mark at the barbers

Sorting my photos out I found these:
Mark's visit at the barbers somewhere deep in the south
of Morocco while across the road the old guys where hanging out
drinking tea and exchanging gossip..

...the boys shaping toys

...Mark had so much fun indeed that I came home one night
last week and he had all the boys (including the dog)
shaping their own "vehicle of fun".
There was all sorts of materials laying around from
old wetsuits to old skateboards. They were so keen
that even the heaviest rain shower couldn't stop them..
I can't wait to snap some shots of the test riding session
when the next big swell hits...

another kind of fun..

the other weekend when the first big swell since ages hit
the Cornish Coast there was a lot of fun to be had on
alternative surf crafts in this beautiful
hidden away bay...

RTTS

and this is what I'm thinking about Run to the Sun...
can't believe they still call it like that after all the rain we had,
don't they get it?
At least I'm not living down that "battlefield" valley
anymore..it's nice and quiet here..

last month I got to see one of my favourite
surf spots at it's best..along with all the other
summer fun surf we had in the sun and
looking out of the window today makes me really
wonder if April is the new cornish summer???

Senegal

Back in February we went on a little adventure to Senegal.
I only knew this place from the "Endless Summer" movie.
So I decided to see for myself what this country has to offer..
This was my first trip to Africa and I was quite amazed
by its colourful culture and the amazingly friendly people
we met. ..

Mabuhay Baler

When the ‘Apocalypse Now’ film crew packed up and left the Philippine coastal town of Baler, they left one important item behind – a surfboard. More than 30 years on and this quiet backwater is home to a stoked crew of welcoming locals.
